Holiday Rally Day #17: Get Outside!

I know it’s cold outside, you’re busy finishing up Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts or planning meals, but just trust me! You need to get outside and catch a breath of fresh air.

It doesn’t have to be a big hike or a day long trip skiing or another activity to spend money on. Just go for a simple walk around the block. Thirty minutes is ideal, but hey, if you only have ten minutes to spare, do it anyways!

It’s been scientifically proven that fresh air, movement and nature can:

  • Decrease depression

  • Improve circulation

  • Lower blood pressure

  • Alleviate anxiety

  • Reduce stress

  • Improve your mood

Believe me, I love cuddling inside during the winter months, too, but man, nothing beats the feeling of coming back into a cozy home with rosy cheeks after being outside!
